Abstract:

ABSTRACT: As a potential therapeutic method, the protective effect of hypothermia has been best investigated and applied in protecting multifarious brain injury. Growing evidences indicate that hypothermia possesses preventive and therapeutic effect on functional injury of other organs, but still unclear in various renal injuries. The aim of this review was to summarize application coverage, protective effects, damage effects and mechanisms of hypothermia in acute kidney injury, and subsequently analyze advantages and disadvantages of hypothermia, together with advertent questions of future studies.
