Abstract: Cisplatin (CDDP) is a commonly used chemotherapeutic drug in clinic, and acute kidney injury (AKI) is a serious complication of CDDP treatment. The clinical implementation of CDDP anticancer antinephrotoxicity regimen depends on the recognition of CDDPinduced AKI (CDDPAKI) pathophysiology. The CDDPAKI rodent model restores the characteristics of clinical AKI.In this article the current preclinical use of rodent AKI animal models, new advances in phenotypes in basic research, injury and treatment were reviewed. It lays the foundation for scholars to deeply understand the molecular pathophysiology of CDDPAKI and provides a theoretical basis for clinical translation research.
