Abstract:

ABSTRACT：Fibroblast growth factor 23（ FGF23）is a novel factor and plays an important role in phosphorus metabolism. Many studies have reported that the serum FGF23 increased earlier than serum phosphorus or parathyroid hormone (PTH) in patients with chronic kidney diseases (CKD), and that FGF23 may be a predictor of complications in patients with CKD and dialysis. This review will focus on the researches about FGF23 in patients with CKD, especially in patients undergoing peritoneal dialysis.
