Abstract:

Vascular disease (CVD) is the main cause of death in chronic kidney disease,especially in the dialysis population.Vascular calcification plays an important role in the development of CVD.Pyrophosphate has the effect of inhibiting the vascular calcification.Pyrophosphate deficiency results in severe calcification of blood vessels. After supplementation,it can reduce or even reverse calcification. This article briefly introduces the involvement of pyrophosphate in vascular calcification and the significance of clinical application of pyrophosphate.
