Abstract:

Post transplantation diabetes mellitus (PTDM) can increase the risk of graftrelated complications such as postoperative infection, rejection, graft dysfunction or even loss, and cardiovascular disease.Immunosuppressive agents are increasingly used in organ transplant recipients, especially calcineurin inhibitors (CNIs),including tacrolimus and cyclosporine.CNIs are important factors leading to PTDM.The pharmacogenomics related with PTDM caused by CNIs and their effects on various target organs leading to diabetes were analyzed and summarized,in order to further explore their pathogenesis, and thus provide more ideas and strategies for the prevention and treatment of PTDM.
