Abstract:

Arteriovenous fistula is the best choice of vascular access for the majority of maintenance hemodialysis patients, however, arteriovenous fistula failure is an important reason of hospitalization. In this paper, the cellular and molecular pathogenesis of vascular intimal hyperplasia in hemodialysis patients with arteriovenous fistula will be reviewed.
