Abstract:

A 44 yearold man who had worked in Africa，presented with chills and persisted fever，progressing to multiple organ dysfunction rapidly. His blood test found ringstage Plasmodium. The kidney biopsy revealed interstitial inflammatory cellular infiltration and tubulitis with acute tubular injury. The final diagnosis for the case was severe malaria，acute kidney injury（AKI），multiple organ dysfunction syndrome（MODS）.
