Abstract:

ABSTRACT: A 14-year-old boy presented with gross hematuria and renal insufficiency for 8 days. There was the onset of upper respiratory tract infection history three weeks before. Laboratory examination revealed decreased serum complement C3, increased ASO and ANCA as well as anti-GBM antibody negative. Renal biopsy showed crescentic nephritis. Electronic microscope indicated subepithelial "hump-like" electron-dense deposits. The final diagnosis was acute post-streptococcal glomerulonephritis.
