Abstract: Bone-related  lesions  are  one  of  the  important  complications  in  patients  with  chronic  kidney  disease (CKD), in addition to chronic kidney disease-mineral and bone disorder (CKD-MBD).  Osteoporosis can lead to bone or joint  pain,  increased  risk  of  fracture,  increased  disability  and  mortality.  Focusing  on  the  understanding  and  diagnosis  of osteoporosis in CKD patients, and exploring the means of treating osteoporosis in CKD patients with reference to the well- established methods of osteoporosis treatment in the  general  population, is  a  new  direction  to  further  improve  the  severity and prognosis of patients’ bone disease based on the current management of CKD-MBD.
