Research progress of hypercalcemia-induced acute kidney injury

Abstract: Hypercalcemia is a common electrolyte disorder in clinical practice. Moderate to severe hypercalcemia can cause multiple organ dysfunction, including acute kidney injury. Hypercalcemiainduced acute kidney injury is life threatening. In this review, we analyzed the pathogenesis of hypercalcemiainduced acute kidney injury and summarized the progress of its treatment, aiming to improve clinicians understanding of hypercalcemiainduced acute kidney injury.
