Abstract:

Objective:To investigate the risk factors and prognosis of Enterococcus Faecium infections in kidney transplantation.
Methodology:Clinical data of 376 kidney transplant recipients from November 2011 to July 2018 in Xijing Hospital were retrospectively analyzed, researched the incidence, infection site, characteristics, diagnosis and  of  enterococcus faecium infections, analyzed the reasons and summarized the prognosis and treatment.
Results:Enterococcus faecium infection  accounted for 4% of total infections,in DCD kidney transplantation the rate was 97%,significantly higher than that of living related donor kidney transplantation(P<005),the most common site of infection is the urinary tract. The prognosis is good when linezolid and other antibiotics are used reasonably.
Conclusion:
The rate of Enterococcus faecium infection after kidney transplantation is low,but it is higher in DCD than that of LRD kidney transplantation.Early detection, reasonable treatment could have a good prognosis.
