Abstract: Toll-like receptors (TLR), as the most important pattern recognition receptors in the innate immune system, are the key node molecules in renal regional immunity. The inappropriate activation can cause a variety of kidney diseases. At present, there have been many studies about the role of TLR7／8 in immune regulation and the progression kidney disease. This review aims to provide an overview of recent progresses that been made in understanding the relationship between the mechanism of TLR7／8 and kidney diseases, providing a new idea for further elucidating the molecular mechanism of regional immunity in the pathogenesis of kidney diseases and clinical treatment.
