Abstract: With the extention of lifespan and improvement of the life quality of hemodialysis (HD) patients, reports of pregnancy are also increasing. Enhanced HD can prolong the gestational age and improve the live birth rate, but pregnancy still poses great challenge for HD patients. In this article, we reviewed the currently existed literature of hemodialysis and pregnancy, including incidence of pregnancy, maternal complications, delivery and birth outcome and supportive alterations to hemodialysis care in pregnancy, looking forward to providing more valuesbased pregnancy and family planning counseling to women with strong desire of motherhood.
