Abstract:

ABSTRACT A 65-year-old female, was charcterized with multi-system damage including proteinuria, hypoalbuminemia, anemia, thrombocytopenia and serum κ-IgG monoclonal immunoglobulin. Renal biopsy showed swollen podocytes and tubular epithelial cell which contained crystalline inclusions. They were positive staining for κ light chain. Electron microscopy showed all kinds of osmiophilic intracellular inclusions. The final diagnosis was light chain podocytopathy and tubulopathy caused by plasma cell disorders.
