Abstract:

ABSTRACT It has been reported that the delayed graft function (DGF) incidence of donation after cardiac death (DCD) donor renal transplantation was significantly higher than that of traditional cadaveric donor, the fundamental reason is renal ischemia reperfusion injury (IRI) in DCD. Recent studies have found that C3a and C5a activation in the DCD is closely related to renal ischemia reperfusion injury. This paper will review the recent researches on the pathogenesis of C3a and C5a activation in the role of the DCD renal IRI for finding a new therapy trarget in the management of C3a and C5a activation in renal IRI of DCD.
