Abstract:
Research Institute of Nephrology, Jinling Hospital, Nanjing University School of Medicine, Nanjing 210016, China. ABSTRACT Chemicals, radiations, biological factors, diet and other environmental factors can cause kidney damage. Epigenetics is the emerging field of biological and medical sciences, and recent studies have shown that exposure to harmful environmental factors causes kidney injury by epigenetic mechanisms. We review the recent progress in the field.
