Abstract: Objective:To investigate the incidence and influencing factors of diabetes mellitus (PTDM) one year after renal transplantation.
Methodology:Retrospective analysis was made on the clinical data of 347 renal transplant recipients without diabetes before operation in the Renal Transplantation Center of the First Affiliated Hospital of Nanjing Medical University from January 2016 to December 2020. Calculate the incidence of PTDM and analyze the influencing factors of PTDM using univariate and multivariate logistic regression analysis methods.
Results:Among 347 renal transplant recipients without diabetes before operation, 79 cases had PTDM one year after operation(22.8%). Univariate analysis showed that transplant age (OR=1.034), living donor kidney (OR=0.178), preoperative fasting blood glucose (OR=1.412), postoperative cyclosporine (OR=0.377), and tacrolimus (OR=2.244) were the influencing factors for PTDM occurrence one year after kidney transplantation (P<0.05). Multivariate analysis showed that transplant age and preoperative fasting blood glucose were independent risk factors for PTDM occurrence one year after kidney transplantation (P<0.05).
Conclusion:The occurrence of PTDM one year after kidney transplantation is closely related to the recipients transplant age, living donor kidney, preoperative fasting blood glucose, and the use of cyclosporine and tacrolimus.
