Abstract: A 74-year-old male with type 2 diabetes was treated with metformin. After taking flumatinib to treat chronic myeloid leukemia, he developed acute kidney injury and tumor lysis syndrome, and subsequently burst severe lactic acidosis and leukocytosis. The chaos was rapidly reversed after the drugs withdrawal and supportive treatments including continuous venous-venous hemofiltration and fluid infusion.
