Abstract:

ABSTRACT A 29-year-old male presented with rapidly prograssive glomerulonephritis with macroscopic hematuria and nephrotic proteinuria. Anti-GBM (glomerular basement membrane) antibodies were 139.37RU/ml. Renal histological examination showed membranous nephropathy with 56% cellular crescentic formation. By direct immunofluorescence, there was linear and granular staining of IgG along GBM. The glomerular subepithelial immune complex deposits were demonstrated in electron microscopy. The final diagnosis was anti-GBM nephritis associated with membranous nephropathy.
