Abstract:

Peritoneal dialysis (PD) related peritonitis remains to be one of the most frequent and serious complications of PD,and an important reason of technological failure. The most common microorganisms responsible for peritonitis are grampositive bacteria, and the incidence of atypical pathogenic bacteria such as mycobacteria and fungi is low,but the diagnosis is difficult, the mortality is high, and the prognosis is poor. This article reviews the diagnosis, treatment and prognosis of PDassociated peritonitis caused by atypical pathogens.
