Abstract:

Chronic kidney disease mainly includes primary glomerular disease and kidney damage secondary to systemic diseases. Because of its safety and the application of threedimensional ultrasound imaging, contrastenhanced ultrasonography and ultrasonic elastography, ultrasonography is an ideal imaging test for workup and prognosis monitoring of chronic renal failure. This article mainly reviews the application status and progress of new ultrasound techniques in chronic kidney disease.
