Abstract:

ABSTRCT: Macrophage infiltration is a common feature of various renal diseases. It may be identified as different subsets in accordance with their phenotype and function. Emerging evidences suggest that the subset of infiltrating macrophage is closely correlated to renal injury, repair or fibrosis. Here the biological feature, function and associated mechanisms of macrophage and its relationship with renal diseases are reviewed.
