Abstract:

ABSTRACT  Systemic lupus erythematosus is a common autoimmune disease with great variations in clinical manifestations and immunologic disorders. The diagnosis on atypical SLE patients is difficult, so the criteria for the classification of SLE have been revised for many times. Now the most common accepted criteria are the 1997 ACR revised criteria, but multiple limitations have been found during application. The SLICC group formulated the new SLE classification criteria in order to improve clinical relevance. This article will introduce the progression of SLE classification criteria in recent years and the formulation of SLE classification criteria by SLICC.
