Abstract: Encapsulating peritoneal sclerosis(EPS) is a rare complication in longterm peritoneal dialysis(PD) patients,and carries significant morbidity and mortality.The pathogenesis of EPS remains elusive,and is hard to be recognized at its early stage.No specific treatment has been developed at the present time.The discussion herein will review the available literature of risk assessment,prevention and management of EPS.
