Abstract:
Systemic light chain amyloidosis (AL) is a kind of disease caused by misfolded protein secreted by monoclonal plasma cells.At present,flow cytometry (FCM) has been widely used in a variety of diseases,including hematologic tumors.By detecting the number and the expression of antigen of the cells,FCM is sensitive in determining tumor load,as well as distinguishing normal and monoclonal plasma cells. In this review,we will discuss the application of plasma cell immunophenotype analysis in AL and explore its significance in diagnosis and prognosis,in order to seek the novel therapeutic target.
