Abstract:

Focal segmental glomerulosclerosis (FSGS) is a common clinical pathological syndrome, massive proteinuria or nephrotic syndrome is the presenting symptom.Focal, segmental, non proliferative capillary loops sclerosis and podocyte injury are the typical pathologic manifestations. Not all FSGS patients respond well to treatments, which may lead to a bad prognosis.Analysis of factors relate with prognosis, will help clinicians to judge the outcome of patients with FSGS and guide the correct treatment. In this summarize,we will sort out the factors in pathology; clinical parameters; genetic variation and treatment in primary FSGS patients.

Key words: focal segmental glomerulosclerosis, prognosis, risk factor
