Abstract: Stenosis is the most common complication in hemodialysis vascular access. Percutaneous transluminal angioplasty is the firstline treatment for these lesions. However, the balloonbased approaches are associated with poor patency. Different types of stents are invented to improve the above actuality. Among them, the covered stent has been widely used because of its mechanical support and biological barrier to prevent intimal hyperplasia, which is also a research hotspot in recent years. In this article, we review the literature of stent grafts for different anatomic locations of vascular access stenotic lesions and its complications.
