Abstract: Toll-like receptors (TLR), as the most important pattern recognition receptors in the innate immune system, are the key node molecules in renal regional immunity. The inappropriate activation can cause a variety of kidney diseases. At present, there have been many studies about the role of TLR7/8 in immune regulation and the progression kidney disease. This review aims to provide an overview of recent progresses that been made in understanding the relationship between the mechanism of TLR7/8 and kidney diseases, providing a new idea for further elucidating the molecular mechanism of regional immunity in the pathogenesis of kidney diseases and clinical treatment.
