Abstract: Objective:To analyze the application of influenza vaccine and pneumococcal vaccine in maintenance hemodialysis (MHD) patients.
Methodology:Select MHD patients from Sichuan Provincial Peoples Hospital and use a questionnaire survey on influenza and pneumococcal vaccination.
Results:A total of 295 patients were included. The influenza vaccine awareness and vaccination rates were 613% and 241%, respectively, and the pneumococcal vaccine awareness and vaccination rates were 543% and 102%, respectively. The main reason for not being vaccinated is that I have not heard, heard but do not understand, and feel unnecessary. Compared with the influenza vaccine group, patients in the noninfluenza vaccine group are older (P<0001). Patients who were previously vaccinated are more willing to receive free vaccination (P=0001). The vaccinated group had fewer hospitalizations due to influenza or pneumonia, but the difference was not statistically significant (P=1000).
Conclusion:The awareness and vaccination rate of influenza vaccines and pneumococcal vaccines in MHD patients are low, and it is necessary to strengthen the knowledge of influenza vaccine and pneumococcal vaccine safety knowledge.
