Abstract: Renal replacement therapy(RRT) is the most useful method for treatment of patients with acute or chronic renal dysfunction. In those undergoing RRT,the evaluation of residual renal function, which is a key factor affecting the patients outcomes,is difficult due to RRT effects. The present efforts have been made to investigate the value of using cystatin C (CysC),β2 microglobulin (β2MG) and βtrace protein (BTP) for assessment of RRF.This article will summarize the recent progress in researches on RRF evaluation in patients receiving RRT.
