Abstract:
A 32yearold man suffered from acute kidney injury after exercise was reported herein. Laboratory tests revealed persistent hypouricemia and elevated fraction excretion of uric acid which demonstrated renal hypouricemia. Monogenetic mutation analysis demonstrated gene mutations of SLC2A9 gene which encoded glucose transporter 9 protein, a uric acid transporter located at proximal convoluted tubule. His renal function recovered completely after approximately 2 weeks of hydration treatment.
