Abstract:

Objective:To observe continuous blood purification (CBP) treatment effect in a group of severe burn patients .
Methodology:Altogether seven severe burn patients with SIRS/sepsis, and/or MODS were implement CBP treatment within 24 hours after admission. The vital signs, biomarkers of inflammation, blood biochemistry, tubular injury index, 28 days mortality and hospital mortality were recorded and analyzed.
Results:The average total burn area of 7 patients was 911%. The 28 day mortality was 286%(2/7), and the 6 months mortality was 429%(3/7). The patients had stability index of inflammation, body temperature, blood pressure, blood glucose, serum sodium and urine volume, which were closely related with the prognosis.
Conclusion:Early implement of CBP treatment in severe burn patients can improve prognosis through reducing sepsis symptoms, improving inner environment, and protecting multiple organs function.
