Abstract: Objective:The imbalance of differentiation of CD4+T cells and the imbalance of Th1/Th2 and Th17/Treg are closely related to the occurrence of IgA nephropathy (IgAN).
Methodology:Total of 86 IgAN patients diagnosed by histological biopsy (divided into T0 group (n=36), T1 group (n=28) and T2 group (n=22) according to the degree of renal interstitial fibrosis) and 43 healthy subjects in Jinan Weigao Nephrology Hospital from June 2022 to December 2023 were collected, and the proportion of CD4+T cell subsets in peripheral blood and the cytokines interferon γ (IFN-γ), interleukin(IL)-4, IL-17 and transforming growth factor-β (TGF-β) in peripheral blood were detected to explore the correlation between Th1/Th2, Th17/Treg balance and renal interstitial fibrosis of IgAN.
Results:Showed that with the increase of renal interstitial fibrosis degree, Th1, Treg and Th1/Th2 gradually decreased, while Th2, Th17 and Th17/Treg gradually increased. And the levels of cytokines IL-4, IL-17 and TGF-β were increased with the increase of IgAN renal interstitial fibrosis degree. Meanwhile, there was a weak correlation between Th1/Th2、Th17/Treg and the clinical data of IgAN patients.
Conclusion:The Th1/Th2, Th17/Treg ratio of CD4+T cell subsets in peripheral blood of IgAN patients is unbalanced, which may be involved in the occurrence and development of renal interstitial fibrosis.
