Abstract:

Abstract: Patients diagnosed with end stage renal disease have been increasing rapidly all over the world. Because physical disability, cognitive disorder, lack of social support and other factors may cause barriers to peritoneal dialysis, its usage in elderly uremia patients is relative lower. In recent years, however, assisted peritoneal dialysis is used in uremia patients with relative contradictions. Several studies have confirmed its safety and effectiveness. Therefore, assisted peritoneal dialysis is an alternative treatment for incapable uremia patients with a lower cost.
