Abstract:

Diabetic nephropathy(DN) is one of the most common microvascular complications of diabetes and is the leading cause of endstage renal disease. Nongenetic factors are critical clinical intervention targets of DN, of which great advances in epidemiology and mechanisms have been made in the past few years. Therefore, the advances of the epidemiology, clinical and mechanism researches of environmental and behavioral factors in the occurrence and progress of DN are reviewed in this article.
