Abstract:

Diabetic kidney disease (DKD) is one of the most severe complication of diabetes mellitus and the incidence and prevalence of  it continue to grow dramatically. DKD is the second cause of endstage renal disease recently. However no current single treatment has been able to reverse or at least slow down DKD progression. Here we review several emerging strategies which are based on new investigations and pathogenetic mechanisms.
