Simulation based medical education: A trend of medical education progression

Abstract:

ABSTRACT Simulation Based Medical Education (SBME) has been an important innovation of the medical care model and education recently. It conforms to the trend of the development in the medical education in the worldwide. SBME significantly reduced medical errors, improved the clinical practice skills of medicine students, protected the safety of patients, and complied with the requirements of medical ethics teaching. SBME has already become a main criterion in the assessing of the abilities of medical students and physicians. Due to the advantages of the SBME included the safety and repeatability processes, relatively realistic training conditions, standard contents; it now has been widely utilized in the clinical practice training.
