Abstract:

ABSTRACT  Numerous researches suggest that hemoglobin fluctuation are widespread pathological phenomena in the maintenance hemodialysis (MHD) patients，and it markedly increase the rates of hospitalization, cardiovascular events, and sudden death. Hemoglobin fluctuation caused by a series of internal and external factors, including age, gender, drug-related factors for EPO and iron, hospitalization, infection, hemodialysis and so on. In this review, the definition, factors and diverse impacts of hemoglobin fluctuation in MHD patients are discussed.
