Abstract:
We reported a young woman with dry mouth, dry eye, hyperchloraemic acidosis with hypokalemia, bilateral kidney stones, recurrent extremities numbness and visual field loss. Lip mucous biopsy,Schirmer's test and related examinations disclosed the diagnosis- primary Sjogren’s syndrome, Sjogren’s syndrome related distal renal tubular acidosis and central nervous system disease. The patient was followed up for ten years and treated with immunosuppressants. The SSA antibody turned positive,renal tubular functions improved, serum creatinine remained normal,and no progression was found in the central nervous system disease.
