Abstract:

ABSTRACT  A 49-years female was admitted because of fatigue, anemia, decreased renal function for six months. Serum pANCA and Elastase ANCA were positive. The renal biopsy was performed and histological examination demonstrated tubulointerstitial nephritis with some obsolescent, but otherwise near normal glomeruli. The extensive investigations showed no signs of granulomatous inflammation or other vasculitic organ involvement. After immunosupressive treatment, serum ANCA was negative. Repeat biopsy showed significantly ameliorated interstitial inflammation. The final diagnosis was suggested as ANCA associated tubulointerstitial nephritis.
