Abstract:

Posttransplantation bone disease is characterized by changes in bone quality and density as well as mineral metabolism, which contribute to increased fracture risk. Many complications of endstage renal disease can be improved by successful kidney transplantation.Because most patients have renal osteonystrophy before transplantation, the level of parathyroid hormone after transplantation is high, the renal function is further deteriorated after transplantation, and the effects of glucocorticoid and immunosuppressive drugs after transplantation, bone disorders are common after renal transplantation, which are important factors affecting the prognosis of  recipients. In this review,we reviewed research progress in bone disorder after renal transplantation.
