Abstract:

ABSTRACT Monoclonal gammopathy(MGP) is defined as circulating monoclonal immunoglobulin owing to proliferation of immunoglobulin-producing B lymphocytes or plasma cells. The monoclonal immunoglobulin can cause proliferative glomerulonephritis via two ways: activation of the classical pathway of complement (direct mechanism) and activation of the alternative pathway of complement (indirect mechanism ). In this review, we will discuss recent progress on the mechanism, diagnosis and therpy of MGP-associated proliferative glomerulonephritis.
