Abstract:

Ｏｂｊｅｃｔｉｖｅ：To evaluate the incidence of malignancies in patients with biopsyproven renal diseases and analyze the clinicopathological features in patients with renal diseases and malignancies.
Ｍｅｔｈｏｄｏｌｏｇｙ：Clinical and renal pathological findings were retrospectively studied in patients with renal diseases and malignancies from January 2013 to December 2017.
Ｒｅｓｕｌｔｓ：A total of 138 patients were included in the study,accounting for 07% of all renal biopsies at the same time.There was a malefemale ratio of 16∶1,with the mean age of 58±11 years at biopsy.The median time from clinical onset of kidney disorder to kidney biopsy was 9 months (IQR,4～31 months).Totally 725% of the patients found malignancies during the periods within one year before and  after the renal biopsy.Among the patients,86 patients (623%) had hematologic malignancies,including 69 (802%) of multiple myeloma and 17 (198%) of other hematologic malignancies.Cast nephropathy was the most common renal pathology associated with multiple myeloma,whereas membranoproliferative glomerulonephritis was more commonly associated with other hematologic malignancies.Solid tumor accounted for 377% (52/138),including 19 cases (365%) of gastrointestinal tumor.Membranous nephropathy was the most common renal pathology associated with solid tumor.
Ｃｏｎｃｌｕｓｉｏｎ：The clinical and pathological features varied between patients with different types of malignancies.The full screening for malignancy was recommended in patients with renal disease during clinical practice,especially in elderly patients and patients with membranous nephropathy or membranoproliferative glomerulonephritis.
