Abstract:
A 63yearold man with metastatic liver cancer was treated with bevacizumab and capecitabine. He presented with proteinuria about 2 years after the initiation of chemotherapy.Chemotherapy was continued and he progressed to nephrotic syndrome with severe hypertension and mild renal dysfunction.Renal biopsy revealed obvious endothelial damage with mesangiolysis.Electron microscopy showed mesangial, subendothelial and electrondense depositsAccording to the clinical manifestation and histological change, bevacizumab was the probable cause of renal damage in this patient.
