Abstract:
Fibroblast growth factor23 (FGF23) is recently identified as a regulator of calcium and phosphorus, its circulating level has impact on the prognosis of patients with chronic renal failure. Currently a variety of factors has been found to participate in the regulation of FGF23, it was wellknown that active vitamin D, phosphorus were involved in this process. Calcium, serum iron, parathyroid hormone, and other posttranslational modification were proved to take part in FGF23 regulation, but the exact mechanism remained to be elucidated. Research on the regulatory factors of FGF23 is of significantly clinical value on targeted therapy to reduce circulating FGF23 level and improving the prognosis of chronic renal failure.
